Microsoft has announced that it has opened a regional data center in Poland. The statement from the company said that the area is the "first data center in Central and Eastern Europe."
It was noted that the main center in Poland consists of three independent physical locations, each with one or more data centers, located around the capital city of Warsaw.
The statement indicated that the center will provide the highest security, privacy, and data storage standards in the country, and that "the operation of Microsoft's data center here is a continuation of the company's more than 30-year relationship with Poland and its commitment to continuing to support the country's technological development in society, business, and the economy."
It was reported that the data center opened in Poland will provide fast and reliable access to Microsoft's cloud services.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, whose views were included in the statement, said that "Microsoft's investment in Poland will accelerate our country's transformation into a technology center for the Central and Eastern Europe region. It is crucial to maintain the highest standards of data storage security in times of economic and geopolitical uncertainty. Building resilience in this area is vital for the Polish economy and society."
